Nehemiah

nehemiahGod’s Old Testament people had been taken captive. They lived in Babylon until the time came for them to return. Nehemiah was so burdened for the protection of God’s people that he couldn’t hide his concern. He was a senior official, but humbled himself to organize God’s people to rebuild the desolate city. It is history. Why is this story in the Bible? It is a picture of our need of a champion in Christ who will motivate and use us in the restoring, repairing, reinforcing of the protective walls of the New Testament church.

Julian Hurst examines the lessons for today from this book of the Bible
