Who we are
Milnrow Evangelical Church is an independent baptist church, and registered charity number 115818. We are located in the heart of Milnrow near Rochdale, and aim to make Jesus Christ known to our local community and to those further afield through our weekly services and other regular and one-off events. See the What’s On section of our website to see events that will be of interest to you.
Our church family consists of people of a wide range of ages, backgrounds and nationalities, and everybody is welcome to our services and meetings whether young or old, Christian or sceptic. You can be sure of a warm welcome!
We believe the Bible to be the complete and inerrant word of God, and as such subscribe to the statement of faith of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. For more information, see What We Believe.
The pastor of the church is Julian Hurst, who is supported by three deacons – Tim Platts, John Corbett and Sam Cappleman-Lynes. For more information on the various roles within the church, please see Leaders.
Membership
Membership is open to those who, having turned from their sin and placed their whole trust only in the Lord Jesus Christ, have been baptised and wish to become committed members of the church family.
