“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”
Mark may well have written at the dictation of Peter. This series of messages begins with the declaration above. The gospel has a beginning, but the Son of God doesn’t. He is a man, the Messiah and more than a man. All the gospels take us forward to the great climax of Christ’s coming, His death at Calvary where He bore our sins.
